Meet Sweet Nola Rae - A Precious Newborn Session at Reflection Images Studio in Florence SC

Little Nola Rae arrived at my cozy Florence studio on a warm July morning, all sleepy sweetness and perfect baby curls. Her parents brought along her 5-year-old big brother Axel, who was practically bursting with excitement to show off his new little sister.

The Star of the Show

Nola was an absolute dream during her session. She slept peacefully as we moved her through different setups, each one highlighting her delicate features and tiny perfection. I started with some classic wrapped poses using soft cream and peach tones that complemented her peachy skin beautifully. The sage green wrap with matching bow headband was particularly stunning against the neutral backdrop.

Throughout each session, I keep an eye on all the little details that make newborns so special so I can capture each one. Her tiny raised fist, the perfect curve of her ear, those impossibly small feet peeking out from her blankets. These are the moments that pass so quickly, but they tell the whole story of this brand new life.

Big Brother's Proud Moments

Axel was so proud to be a big brother to his new little sister, and it showed in every interaction. He wore his "Big Brother" shirt with such pride and was incredibly gentle when holding Nola Rae. The way he looked at her with such tenderness melted my heart. These sibling shots are always some of my favorites because they capture that immediate bond that forms between brothers and sisters.

Family Complete

The family portraits were the perfect way to wrap up our session. Mom looked radiant in her blue floral dress, and Dad had a huge smile as he held Nola Rae, which says everything about how smitten he was with his daughter. Having the whole family together, with Axel beaming beside his parents, really completed the story of their growing family.

A Final Thought

Newborn sessions are always such a joy for me because I get to witness families in these precious early moments, when everything is new and full of wonder!
