There’s something truly special about capturing a little one’s first birthday, and Levi’s 1st birthday cake smash session at Reflection Images by Tracy Rowell in Florence, SC was the perfect celebration. With a warm white studio setup, heirloom wooden toys, and classic outfits, this session brought together joy, simplicity, and personality in the best way possible.

As Their Family Grows, So Does Our Friendship

As a photographer, it’s an incredible honor to watch families grow. I first photographed Susanna during her intimate boudoir session, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of documenting many beautiful chapters of the Burgess family’s life — from welcoming their first son, Doc, to now celebrating Levi, their second son. Our studio, Reflection Images by Tracy Rowell, has become a visual diary for their milestones.

Capturing Personality

Levi’s birthday session was full of personality and play. He wore a soft blue heirloom romper, played with a vintage wooden rocking horse and toys, and had plenty of giggles in a white modern chair. His cake smash moment was the cherry on top — a joyful, messy celebration of his very first year.
