A Wedding To Remember!

Nestled in the heart of the South Carolina Lowcountry, the timeless estate of Wavering Place in Eastover offered the perfect backdrop for the celebration of love between Morgan & Daniel. On November 14, 2020, surrounded by family and friends, the couple honored tradition while infusing their day with modern elegance and heartfelt moments. As their photographer, Reflection Images by Tracy Rowell brought out the light, emotion and story of the day, from morning preparations all the way through the dance floor finale.

Getting Ready and the Bride-To-Be & Father First Look

Morgan’s gown from Evelyn’s of Camden was draped in soft lace and delicate beading, echoing the classic Southern romance of the venue. Meanwhile, the gentlemen prepared with style at Butlers and the crisp lines of their tuxedos contrasted well with the lush estate surroundings.
The decision for the bride-to-be to share a first look with her father in Wavering Place’s garden courtyard brought a quiet, intimate moment ahead of the busy day. Soft afternoon light, the rustle of live oaks overhead, and that first reaction of seeing one another created moments captured in photos that will linger forever.

Ceremony at Wavering Place

Set beneath sweeping live oaks, the ceremony was officiated by Rob Brazell. Flourishing floral design by Carolina Blossoms (Vicky Walker) framed the altar with lush greenery and subtle white blooms, letting the natural woodland atmosphere shine through.
Morgan and Daniel exchanged vows under a canopy of branches where their love was matched by the surrounding beauty. As the sun dipped lower, the golden hour bathed the scene in warm tones, creating an ideal moment captured perfectly by the lens.

Portraits & Cocktail Hour

Following the ceremony, the couple wandered the estate’s grounds for portraits and the “old world charm” of Wavering Place lent itself beautifully to individual and couple shots. Their joy, laughter, and quiet glances toward one another were framed against moss covered oaks and the stately manor architecture.
Cocktail hour followed in the garden terrace, featuring drinks served by Black Tie Bartending and light bites by Southern Way. Guests mingled amid the flicker of lanterns and the soft hum of anticipation for the evening ahead.

Reception & Celebration

The transformation of the reception space at Wavering Place was stunning. The refined rentals from Crisp Event Rentals set an elegant tone, while music by the Jebb Mac Band filled the air and brought the dance floor alive.
In true Southern fashion, the menu curated by Southern Way reflected local flavors, and the cake by Cakes by Jeanie combined refined simplicity with delicious impact. Guests toasted and danced late into the night, the golden light of the estate mingling with strings of market lights overhead.

Final Moments & Departure

As the evening drew to a close, the couple made a dramatic exit via a vintage Rolls Royce courtesy of Coats Classic Cars, creating a fitting end to a storybook day. Meanwhile, live painter Elliot Venable quietly captured their day on canvas, a beautiful echo of the story that was unfolding.
From first look to last dance, Morgan and Daniel’s wedding was a graceful blend of Southern charm, elegant details, meaningful emotion, and joyful celebration.
