Skinner Family Beach Session in Surfside SC - Reflection Images by Tracy Rowell
Florence, SC Newborn Photographer
Photographing the Skinner family is always a joy, and this Surfside Beach session brought their story full circle. Having captured Stella since her newborn days in October 2020, it was beautiful to now photograph both Stella and her baby brother Cole, surrounded by the warm connection of their parents Kristy and Chase. The late summer light and soft coastal dunes gave this session a dreamy, nostalgic glow.
A Story Told by the Sea
The session began along the wooden boardwalks winding through Surfside's dunes. Stella, now almost five, beamed with confidence and joy as she danced barefoot beside her baby brother. Cole, dressed in a soft blue romper, explored the feel of sand on his toes and watched his sister with wide-eyed wonder. Whether they were seated in the dunes or cuddled close in their parents’ arms, the love between them radiated through every frame.
Colors, Connection, and Coastal Light
This beach session balanced candid moments and softly posed portraits, showcasing the Skinner family's genuine bond. The mix of pastel tones in their outfits and the golden hues of the setting sun created timeless imagery. From Stella's windblown curls as she twirled on the shore, to Cole's giggles during dad’s playful lifts, every detail echoed warmth and connection.
A Photographer’s Perspective
It’s an honor to document the growth of a family through the years. Photographing Kristy and Chase as they laughed with their children, held hands at the edge of the surf, and shared quiet embraces reminded me why I love what I do. The Skinner family trusted me to capture their genuine moments—and those are the stories I live to tell.
