We had the sweetest time celebrating a big milestone for twin brothers Nolan and Woods! Their first birthday session at our Florence, SC studio was full of smiles, snuggles, and just the right amount of frosting. The boys looked adorable in matching green gingham outfits as they explored balloons, shared cuddles with mom and dad, and dove into their birthday cakes. This gallery showcases their growing personalities and the love that surrounds them.
Telling Their Story
Nolan and Woods were such a blast to photograph! They were full of personality and loved being in front of the camera, most of the time. Dad came in clutch more than once, swooping in to help hold them both for portraits and keep things rolling. The twins clearly share a bond already: if one cried, the other would often join right in with perfect mimicry. It made for some hilarious (and very real) moments we were lucky to capture!
Studio Style & Details
Their gingham rompers paired perfectly with the studio’s bright aesthetic, allowing their joyful energy to take center stage. We added in soft white curtains and a green ottoman for extra texture, and both boys wore their '1b' bibs, one of our favorite age-specific touches. Macro close-ups highlighted those sweet baby blues, and the final section was pure fun: a double cake smash with sky-blue frosting and colorful garland backdrop.
What the Experience Was Like
We always aim for a session that flows with your family’s energy, especially with little ones. Nolan and Woods were troopers through outfit changes, prop swaps, and all the sugar highs. Their parents helped create such a relaxed, loving atmosphere, it made our job easy. These milestone sessions go by fast, but they leave behind memories to cherish for a lifetime.
