Our soft and sweet studio setting was the perfect canvas for Livi Kate’s birthday portraits and made each moment magical. Dressed in a delicate white dress with pom-pom trim and a dried floral crown, she looked like a little woodland princess.
Introducing the Birthday Girl
Livi Kate stole the spotlight from the moment she sat down. With her big blue eyes and curious expression, she was a natural in front of the camera. This was a full-circle moment for us, having photographed her newborn. And after photographing her sisters at similar milestones, it was an honor to do the same for her.
Sibling Love and Smiles
Livi’s two older sisters joined her for some heartwarming sibling shots and the helping hands made these images extra special. Capturing the bond between siblings is always a favorite part of our sessions, and these girls made it effortless.
Outfit Change and Playtime
Before the cake was thoroughly enjoyed, Livi changed into a light pink romper for a few relaxed portraits. She played on the floor, smiled with joy, and even took a turn on our classic wooden rocking horse, another family favorite prop that adds nostalgic charm to our milestone sessions. These quiet, emotive portraits are often the ones parents treasure most, like little glances, delicate hands, and the innocence of being one.
The Cake Smash Begins
When the pristine white cake was placed in front of her, Livi wasn't quite sure what to make of it. But with a little encouragement (and some taste testing), she quickly got the hang of it. She explored the soft icing with her tiny fingers, poking and tasting, then eventually digging in with joy!
From hesitant pokes to icing-covered smiles, the progression was picture-perfect. Her laughter filled the studio as she squished handfuls of frosting and sampled sweet bites. The wooden vintage high chair added a charming, rustic touch to this classic smash session setup.
