Celebrating a first birthday is a milestone full of joy, giggles, and the sweetest of memories. Hadley’s 1st birthday session at Reflection Images by Tracy Rowell in Florence SC was filled with color, laughter, and a playful spirit that perfectly captured her vibrant personality.

A Milestone to Remember

Hadley’s birthday shoot included a variety of setups, from soft and classic to bold and fun. We started with bright natural light portraits that highlighted her adorable outfits and radiant expressions. Her big brother joined for some precious sibling moments that were both sweet and silly.

Outfits, Props, and Studio Vibes

Hadley wore a classic pink plaid dress for sibling portraits, then switched to a crisp white smocked romper with pastel balloon embroidery. Later, she twirled in a bold rainbow tulle tutu before diving into a custom ombré pink smash cake. Props included a vintage blue chair, a wicker toddler seat with aqua wraps, and a wooden rocking horse, all set against the studio’s soft white backdrops and floor-to-ceiling windows.

No birthday session is complete without a cake smash! Hadley’s eyes lit up when the pink ombré cake appeared. From gentle frosting tastes to full handfuls, her expressions ranged from curiosity to pure delight. We captured her messy joy both on the floor and in a charming wooden high chair, surrounded by mint-striped bunting.
