We could not have asked for a more beautiful day!  April 8th was not only perfect weather but everything went flawlessly!  The wedding was out in Lynchburg at Tanglewood Plantation, a beautifully restored historic home site built in the 1830’s .  It’s always risky planning for an outdoor ceremony but Ashely had her heart set on this beautiful venue.  And I can certainly see why.  We did their engagement session here back in October and Ashely’s Bridal Session just a few weeks ago.

All the details were planned out perfectly.  I just love how the lilac and green look together for the dresses and bow ties.  And then the green hydrangeas were such a pretty accent.  Ashely was stunning, from her hair and makeup to her gorgeous long train.

We had a great time with all the bridal party!  11 bridesmaids and 11 groomsmen….what a blast they were.  Early in the day I said that I would know all the bridesmaids by name by the end of the day and I DID!  It was neat because one of the bridesmaid/groomsman couples I had just photographed their wedding last summer.

Just a few notes:

The Food….probably some of the best bar-b-que I’ve ever had!  The DJ….Dan E Lockemy always knows how to get the crowd going, especially when he starts handing out microphones and there were many willing participants!
